We received this 3 tons single girder gantry crane inquiry on August 31th, 2020.
On Sep 1st, we prepared the offer and sent it to client. But we were told that they preferred rubber-tyred gantry crane. We replied to client in time that rubber-tyred gantry crane is not included in our business scope and its price is higher. And we looked forward to working with them next time. Luckily the client asked us to update the price of this 3 tons single girder gantry crane on Oct 21st. We revised the offer and also quoted installation charge in the offer.
In the next days, we prepared the foundation drawing and talked about the payment terms.
Normally for the first time cooperation client, we do 30% deposit and 70% paid before shipment. But to show our respect and willing to work with this client, we changed the payment term to 30% deposit and 70% paid against copy of BL.
On Nov 77, 2020, our client asked us to send the proforma invoice and promised that they would proceed to do the deposit within one week. But customer met some bank problem when they do the advance payment. Finally we got the deposit on Nov 27, 2020 and started manufacturing right now.
It took only 20 days to finish fabrication of this 3 tons single girder gantry . We loaded the container on Jan 9th and the vessel departed from Qingdao Port on June 12th, 2021.
Now this single girder gantry crane works well in the workshop and improves their work efficiency quite a lot. Customer spoke highly of our product and they are planning to order 2 sets of overhead crane from us.
